Welcome to MW Literacy — a place for teachers, tutors, homeschooling (and non-homeschooling) parents to find accessible resources for young learners to hone literacy development.
Born and raised in New York City, I am now raising two kids in coastal New England. I hold a B.A. in behavioral science with a minor in English, and a master’s in Childhood Education with a focus in literacy. In my professional career, I have taught in the classroom, supported students through private tutoring, and served as an admissions evaluator at a private, New York City girls’ school. After the birth of my first child, I created what is now MW Literacy, a place to share mostly literacy-related resources to support those in the field of childhood education. You might see me throw in delicious, seasonal, and homemade recipes here or there, because let’s be honest — as Virginia Woolf once rightly said, “One cannot think well, love well, sleep well, if one has not dined well.”
